Designing a bespoke home office space to maximise storage
The proportion of people working from home in the UK more than doubled during the Covid-19 pandemic, which saw a significant rise in demand for bespoke home office furniture for our retail Partners. Many of our Partners also ventured into the furniture and home office market as a result of this too; designing and installing truly bespoke furniture all areas in the home.
Designing a home office is a much simpler process than designing a kitchen as the overall project is usually much smaller, and with no appliances to account for! Our retail Partners simply adapt our standard kitchen cabinetry to suit the layout of the room and requests from their client; the most important thing is to ensure that aesthetics also account for ergonomics and functionality of the space.

Our Retail Showroom Partner in Essex created this home office project for a family home local to them. The brief was to create lots of storage without overwhelming the room, as well as a bright and open-plan desk area.
A combination of concealed and open shelving provides lots of storage space without a solid wall of cabinetry, and the shelving is fully adjustable to any height, easily adapted with our unique zig-zag brackets.

Oak lipped shelves are a great solution for storing files and folders that may otherwise slip forward, and bespoke drawers beneath the printer provide a home for paper and ink cartridges within easy reach.
